Anjou "Quarts de Gastines"
Centered on a very old plot of bush-trained, un-trellised Chenin and a small plot of 10-year-old young vines. Parallel to the Varenne de Chanzé, this plot is located on the southern slope of the hillside, a hundred meters further east, and thus also bordering the Clos des Mailles which, for its part, faces north. Here the soil is pure grey-green schist with a very small amount of phtanites. The genetic diversity of the old Chenin vines is very interesting, with a large proportion of millerandage clusters, resulting in aerated bunches and allowing for a particular ripeness.
Manual harvest, gentle pneumatic pressing, fermentation and aging in 1 used barrel, 1 sandstone jar and 1 demi-muid.
Tax included.
