"In the spring of 1903, a small community of Carthusian fathers settled in Tarragona, in the Plaça dels Infants. A distillery was then established and began producing Chartreuse liqueurs, a process that continued until 1989.
In 2002, the municipality of Tarragona awarded the monks the City Medal, an exceptional symbol of the friendship that continued to unite them with Tarragona. This new liqueur, uniquely rooted in Tarragona, is a testament to this deep connection."
