Vin de Savoie Ayze "Le Feu"
While Le Feu is the most famous terroir of the appellation, it is thanks to the work of Dominique Belluard, who considered it the quintessential terroir, the equivalent for Gringet of what Hermitage is for Marsanne. A cadastral lieu-dit located in the commune of Marignier, Le Feu is a south-facing hillside composed of marls reddened by the presence of clay rich in iron oxide. The Gringet from Le Feu is a charming and flamboyant wine that shines with its texture and length, offering noble and refined ferruginous bitters. (Total sulfur = 16 mg/l)
